What is SimuChat?
SimuChat is an online service that simulates a conversation with someone you know. Using your real messages (WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram…), an AI learns how that person writes and replies to you in their style.
How does SimuChat imitate someone?
When you import, SimuChat measures the contact's writing style: message length, punctuation, emojis, expressions, rhythm. During the chat, the AI relies on that profile, on your notes and on excerpts of your real conversations to answer like them.
Which messaging apps are supported?
WhatsApp, iPhone iMessage and SMS, Android SMS, Instagram, Messenger, Snapchat and TikTok. The import guide explains how to export conversations from each app.
How do I export my iMessages from an iPhone?
The iPhone has no export button. The free SimuChat app for Windows copies your iMessages and SMS over a USB cable and creates a ZIP file to import into SimuChat.
How much does SimuChat cost?
Signing up, importing and the writing profile are free, and one contact plus one simulated message are on the house. After that, you buy credits whenever you want, from €4, with no subscription.
Are my conversations used to train AI?
No. Your conversations are encrypted, used only for your simulations, and never sold or used to train models. You can delete them at any time.
Is the simulated person notified?
SimuChat never contacts your contacts: the simulation stays in your private space. Anyone can ask for their messages to stop being used, and the user must then delete the contact.
Can I use SimuChat on my phone?
Yes. Open simuchat.net in Safari or Chrome and add it to your home screen: it works like an app. You can import from your phone too.
Can I simulate someone who has died?
No, SimuChat's terms of use forbid it.
